Had to adjust the allen screw inwards so it would not contact the camera face as it was sticking out. It was very tight to turn and had to use a higher grade allen wrench. The M42 to M48 adapter was too thick/high/tall and would not seat all the way into my female M48 spacer resulting in an extra 1mm of backspacing that was unwanted, luckily I had another brand that fit correctly.
