The Intel Xeon X5677 3.46 GHz quad-core processor is part of the 5000 series processors that operate at a stock clock speed of 3.46 GHz, which is 1.06 GHz faster than the average server processor. Where the processor‘s power is concerned, Intel tested the Xeon 5677 to deal with a maximum overclocked speed for up to 3.73 GHz. The cache size of the Xeon 5677 is 12 MB, which is known as the norm for caches with server processors, while the 288 GB of maximum memory support is also common among all CPU servers.
