The two bulbs are angled very low, these shine very brightly when we have the lamp on in the evenings in the lounge, straight in line of vision. We have changed bulbs, & resorted to just one bulb. I may have to buy a lower chest to place the lamp on.

When you're sitting down and the lamp is on a table the bulbs glare irritatingly in your eyes. I bought some low wattage LED bulbs and black light blocking tape for the lower part of the bulb to overcome this.
