It is made of black silk background with colorful jewel tones damask weave cherry blossom flowers woven design brocade fabric. Manchu women wore a one-piece dress which were called "qipao" or "banner dress" and later became the traditional dress for Chinese women. This charming cherry blossoms Chinese cheongsam dress has a form fitting style, is knee length, with a mandarin collar, short cap sleeves, side slit vents, zipper, snaps closures along the side and is unlined. The dress measures 38 inches long, with a 34 inch bust, 27 inch waist, 35 inch hips, 14 1/2 inch back and a 13 inch neck. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful custom made piece of Chinese cheongsam wearable art.”
