It had a little more cosmetic wear on the heat sink surface then I would have liked but it was not advertised as new either. The packaging could have been better. It arrived with a lot of slightly bent pins around the edges (first two rows). These were not bent enough for me to call it damaged and none were broken, but it required quite a lot of time on my part (about an hour) of straightening pins to get the CPU to go into the socket.
