In Japanese symbolism, the rising sun represents renewal and hope, cranes symbolize longevity and happiness, and bamboo stands for resilience and prosperity, making this set especially suited for celebratory occasions. Produced during the Meiji to Taisho period, the work demonstrates the elegance and refinement of Kaga lacquer artistry, where delicate maki-e techniques highlight both symbolic beauty and exquisite craftsmanship.
