McAfee has historically faced criticism for this. User was given a refund immediately, even after we explained that out of 71 AVs, this was/is the only one marking it as a "virus." How does this happen? Well.. McAfee was acquired by a private equity consortium in 2021 who went on to use their user's data (against their knowledge) to train the same AI that is flagging this incorrectly.
