The IR distance of the remote control of the Octastream is so short. It only works for less than 10 ft. With a receiver that retails for $400, it should be using Bluetooth.
The unit intermittently reboot or does not respond the the remote control (the attached picture shows that the unit is on, but no display on the front)
i have been trying to return the unit, but the seller does not reply. I would not have mind trying another Octastream Elite because I like the Elite Apps.
