Used this cable to upgrade a laptop from 1366x768 to 1080p. If you attempt to upgrade your laptop with this 1080 screen and do not have this cable, be aware that the backlight will come on, but no image will be generated. After purchasing both parts, I can say that I am extremely satisfied with my laptop - better than new!
