However, upon opening I noticed some stain on the water inlet and the visible top of the element. It had a slight rusty stain! I compared it to my 2 year old filter which was pure white. With the price being about 2/3 of other sellers it does make me wonder if these are factory seconds or…? Now I think I can detect a faint odor in my drinking water, but admittedly that might be me. But I’m going to replace this “new” filter anyway.
