It's 46 years since the publication of the first edition of Sir Stanley Davidson's textbook Principles and Practice of Medicine. In seventeen editions the book has gone through many changes to establish an international reputation for innovation and clarity. This 18th edition is no exception. There are many revisions to content including a major new chapter on the molecular and cellular basis of disease and an enhanced new chapter on Diabetes Mellitus and Nutritional and Metabolic Disorders.
