The shaft splines however, were not indexed correctly for my control handle to line up properly. It doesn't affect operation so I will leave it alone and chalk it up to experience. I'll compare old and new next time before putting it all back together. I'm not placing blame on anyone here. These are very old parts and it would be difficult for most people to see the difference or know there was one...
