'Problem is, rather than the Bionaire fan specified in the post, a Shinic fan arrived instead. Admittedly it has every feature the Bionaire one does...... except it is noticeably noisy. Considering how difficult and/or likely expensive it is to get an actual Bionaire fan now, I probably have no practical choice except to keep this fan, but the specimen's noises will make the discrepancy quite memorable.
