The Toshiba MK8025GAS 2.5-inch hard drive is one of the least power-hungry hard drives in its class. A 4,200 RPM platter speed provides good read and write speeds, as does the 8 MB cache. This 80 GB hard drive can read at about 15 MBps. Plus, the Toshiba MK8025GAS writes at roughly the same speed. Thanks to its high density platters, the 80 GB hard drive fits in a very small package, and weighs just 3.5 ounces. The popular model is also a long-lasting one, with a rated life on average of 300,000 hours, and a long history of use in Toshiba laptops. In addition to laptop upgrades and Toshiba laptop hard drive replacements, the Toshiba MK8025GAS can also be considered for mobile PCs, external hard drive enclosures, and other options.
