During the 1950s, the pure delta-wing became a design signature of the Convair Company - sleek, menacing, and supersonic were hallmarks of a Convair delta aircraft. The experimental XF-92 led to a family of Convair Deltas, from the supersonic F-102 and F-106 fighters, to the record-shattering B-58 Hustler bomber, the seaplane jet fighter known as the Sea Dart, and the vertical take-off, tail-sitting Pogo experimental point-defense fighter. Convair Deltas examines each of the company's delta-wing programs in detail using dozens of original factory photos to highlight the narrative. This book contains a bonus 60-minute DVD showing the development of these aircraft as well as rare footage of the Sea Dart jet fighter flying on and off the water.
