    The gemstone received is not a sapphire, but faceted glass. It is similar in size and cut to the advertisement, but was able to be scratched by a glass surface. It is approximately the Mohs hardness of glass (5.5-6) and nowhere near that of a real sapphire (9). Note the scratched edge in photo below (this was after conducting the hardness test)
