For my installation I will have to deepen the striker plate (into the door jamb) on the lower locking knob, as the new piece touches it as I close the door. The deadbolt area is perfect however. I think this new bracket will definitely slow down an intruder. The next purchase is a couple of pinned door hinges, don't forget these.
