This neck on this part is way to short. The original one total length is 2" high. Sounds like you needed the rubber boot that attaches to this that was no included or shown in the pics/listing. OR you have a 2000 500 MANUAL SHIFT model that takes a different intake manifold. Mine was for a 2000 500 Automatic shift model.
