The original magnetic component didn't appear as good as one I had on a vent that you could use as a wireless charger so I just changed the head out. The coupling for the dash is brilliant though it did take a couple of goes to clip it in securely - but be assured - it does clip in and as such will save those pricy vents from distruction! Great, inovative product!
