Every driver like this I've used, the arrows denote the direction the screw will move. When I hold it vertical, the down arrow turns the driver lefty-loosey and the screw is removed. I can prob open it up and flip the buttons, but I was def surprised on first use. Second, the first pic shows a bunch of bits. It only comes with two. Bummer
