The pad comes with an additional hex shaft which allows it to be connected to an impact driver or hex extensions. This is perfect for me as I have a 90 degree angle drive I can hook up to my impact driver with a long extension rod. I can now get down the side of my engine for cleaning gasket surfaces that need cleaning with the pad.
