I also spent £100 on a cellular aerial but I found that I didn't need the aerial because the reception that this can get is superb - the normal signal is 1 or zero bars, but this got a steady 3 bars signal. Superb! Also in my home area the signal strength is a full 5 bars and it is three times faster than the Plusnet landline - won't renew it on contract expiry!

Works fine with a "3" SIM card, even though "3" said they didn't have a good enough signal at our location, tried a few other SIM's in as well to see which network provided the strongest signal and they all worked, Vodafone/TalkMobile came out top.
