Seller Notes: “On paper but loosely placed on card, it can be removed, under a plastic wrap which is torn in ... “On paper but loosely placed on card, it can be removed, under a plastic wrap which is torn in several areas and completely at one side. The text is in German, at top 'Modebilder Zur Theaterzeitung Aus Paris N: 727' and at the bottom 'Wien im Bureau der Theaterzeitung Rauhensteingasse N: 926.' Size is 9 1/4 x 12 inches. There is paper missing along the top edge goes about 1/2 inch deep and 5 inches long, also at the top edge center a 1 3/4 diagonal tear, almost reaches the top text. Spotting and marks on the paper, edge and corner wear. The Wiener Theaterzeitung was a newspaper in Vienna, 1806 to 1860, which had hand-colored color copper supplement illustrations. Andreas Geiger was an Austrian copperplate engraver, his signature (print signature) is on the artwork bottom right 'And Geiger.' The plastic has some marker writing 'Fashion Plate Men and Women... Etching Originally colored by Hand at Time of Printing. A nice 1800s hand-colored etching print from Vienna.”
