I also purcheased a tear drop elsewhere from same manufacturer but found the the strings a bit too high off the frets. This design however has much easier action and the sound is awesome in comparison. I tuned it with existing strings and it sounds fine and has stayed in tune for two days. I wanted to try it as is before swopping out the strings. Still learning but this item has made it easier for a great price.
