I ensured the part was correct so it fit as I expected. The part was completely functional even though it was used. I also paid 50 instead of 150+ for a new part. My original part would not actuate the unlock so I had to use a key. Not only was this parts' unlock mechanism functional, the sensor within it that allows the deck lid to open worked. After 10+ years of not having a functional auto open with the key fob, everything works. It took < 10min to install (I had practice). Very happy.
