The Toshiba MK2533GSG is a 5400rpm drive with a 16MB cache. This cache supports both write and read-ahead drive functions. It is a SATA-300 HDD that can transfer data at up to 3Gb per second. It has an average latency of 5.6 milliseconds, and takes about 15 milliseconds to find the data the system is looking for. It has a track-to-track seek time of three milliseconds, thanks to its magnetic recording abilities.
