Good afternoon. I received the tape player and was pleased with the packaging. The player was clean as expected. I put fresh batteries in and found that it works the way it is supposed to except it does not make any sound. It plays, fast forwards, reverses and stops, but no sound from the speaker or head phones. If there is a secret I need to know about, please pass it along... Roger Gillespie
