    FYI-The plastic insulator piece was broken a little in shipping but is still functional for my needs , it was wrapped but that part was at top of box with minimal protection from impact via carelessness of thoughtless people (I ordered a generator 1 time that was delivered with size13 boot prints on top of the handle with care label on box and a dented fuel tank when opened ,smh) All else looks good and I'm stoked for my new 250amp Alternator , Thank you .

    This part is not a direct fitment replacement in a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with the inline 6 cylinder 4.0l engine. The diameter of the case is too large and lays against the engine block and bracket before the lower bolt holes align. The misalignment is about an inch from center to center so no amount of grinding for clearance can remedy the problem. I had to fabricate a lower bolt hole relocation tab to make it work.
