The durable phone comes with four handsets that have a slim design that is easy to handle. The system is powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery pack that has a long battery and battery standby life. The ECO-mode helps save the battery by automatically adjusting its power consumption. The phone system employs advanced DECT 6.0 technology, a fully digital communication technology that provides wireless connection between two or more units. Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications technology transforms analog sound, like a conversation, into a digital data stream before transmitting from one DECT unit to another. Phones that use the DECT standard operate on the 1.9GHz frequency band, which negates interference issues. With the "listen before transmit" technology, there is no interference from household products like baby monitors, Wi-Fi, and microwaves. Enjoy enhanced voice clarity and crystal-clear digital sound quality when using one of the handsets. DECT is a very secure wireless standard that uses a complex encryption algorithm that is only known by DECT manufacturers. Since telephone calls are not stored, intruders can only access information during a conversation, and no commercially available equipment exists that can monitor a DECT line and decrypt data streams to recreate the conversation. In addition, it is impossible for hackers to create a virus to infect the system because the DECT standard does not allow execution of code strings, programs or macros. Along with clear communication and a high level of security, enjoy convenient features that make it easy to stay organized whether you’ll be using the phone system in your business or in your home. The phone is easy to program, and the information that is put into the phone is communicated to all the handsets. The orange backlit three-line LCD display can be seen in all conditions, and the large numbers on the phone are simple to use. Once you set up your phone book in one handset, all the other handsets automatically have the phone book stored. The phone directory memory stores 100 numbers, and the caller ID/call waiting memory stores 50 numbers, so it is easy to call people back or again. Each unit has a speaker and a mute button, and each handset has a built-in answering machine so you don’t have to go to the main phone. You can access messages or record a greeting from any handset, and you are able to program individual handsets to ring or remain silent for specified time periods. Convenient features include a paging system and intercom system as well as a voicemail waiting indicator. Have up to 10 hours of talk time and up to seven days of standby time. The phone system can be expanded up to 12 handsets. The display, owner’s manual, and voice prompts come in English, Spanish, and French.
