Published in London by T. Cadell Jun. & W. Davies, and in Edinburgh by E Balfour, 1801. First Edition, possibly a later issue. 307pp plus 1pp of publisher's ads to the rear. Bound in the original drab boards, stained and soiling, with wear to the edges and corners. Lacks the spine strip. Covers holding on by a couple of binding strings. Lower block corners with some light damp staining to the front and rear, as shown, though this diminishes after a few leaves. Block edges untrimmed. Scarce title, with Copac listing just one copy of this first edition (Reading University). pp211 to 311 are the appendix. Seldom found in the original state.”
