    Nice spindle but it’s slightly smaller than 17mm and subsequently slides through the bearings rather than seating firmly in them.

    An object that has an exact 17mm OD will not slide into a bearing that has an exact 17mm ID. You are correct that my spindle is slightly under 17mm. The description indicates that these spindles fit perfectly into a bearing that has a 17mm ID. Each and every 1 of my spindles has been test fitted into a precision bearing for fitment. And the spindle you purchased fit perfectly. I would check your bearings for excessive wear and purchase new bearings if need be. Thanks for your purchase.
