Model received exactly as described - new in the box, which has some wear on it but it was never opened. Packaging was well enough but some more padding on the bottom would have made it even safer. The packaging was excellent. It arrived in perfect condition and was as advertised. I find most of these 1:8 die cast models are overpriced but that is of course they are probably discontinued designs although I have seen many cheaper at vendor booths at car shows. I feel I got a good deal.
