These are very pretty and very heavy. Luckily I had some backings available that are made to keep earrings in an upright position and comfortable on the ears. The backings that came with the earrings would never work to do either job. With the switch to the supporting backings, these earrings are now comfortable to wear, look great, are full of bling and yet classy. They also seem to be authentic pearls and of a nice size. That's the prime reason I bought them. I'm very pleased.
