Bound in contemporary half calf, worn to the edges and corners, leather scuffing. Plain light purple endpapers. Pages with age toning, some scattered foxing, mainly to the outer plate margins and tissue guards. Plates by T. Jackson, J. Carter, J. Wilson, J. Watts, James Tingle, J. Richards, T. Jones, D. Thompson, H. Goodman et al, with views of Andernach, Bacharach, Bingen, Bonn, Boppard, Kaub, Koblenz, Cologne, Remagen, Rüdesheim, Sinzig, Wiesbaden etc. A tourist guide to the public buildings, antiquities, and commerce along the banks of the Rhine.
