- *****- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseThe 8mm thick ZWB1 filter is working great for deeper UV photography (excluding the 365-400nm range). Red and IR is well suppressed (out-of-band optical density more than 4) and images are sharp with a capable lens.

When I test the lens with my Engenious Designs Convoy C8 FYRFLY UVA flashlight, a lot of UVA light passes through the lens. When I look at the sky with this lens in my goggles, all I can see is the UV haze and can't see the sun or anything else. If I take UV blocking clear safety glasses and put them in front of the lens, it blocks out the UV haze I see. That is how I know that the haze I see from looking at the sky with this lens is UV light.

I THINK it is a BG38 (Schott nomenclature) equivalent based on the the amount of near IR pass-through in combination with a ZBW2 filter that the seller sells (and I purchased). Not a bad combination for UV reflectance imaging for flowers (white), if you do not mind the near-IR background from plants (tan). The seller worked with me for my bulk purchase. Overall I am very happy with this purchase!
