I have owned three of the 2.9 V6s and the valve cover gaskets bought from Ford or auto parts stores will not stop them from leaking. I have a pair of these silicon gaskets of my 1989 Ford bronco 2 as I type, I drive it every day at leas 100 miles or more. Current engine has 40,000.00 miles on it and the valve covers don't leak a drop. They stop vacuum leaks which makes the engine run better, more consistant with more torque.
