After wrapping up the tour for last year's platinum release, Return to Saturn, No Doubt headed right back into the studio. This time, the band wanted to create a lighter, " Party Record" with a drama infusion of Dancehall, Reggae, Synth Pop and Rock. Using wide variety of producers, from Jamaican Reggae legands Sly & Robbie to U.K. Dance Remixer William Orbit, they explored new sounds and went beyond anything they've ever done before.
