Not long after this recording she eschewed the opera stage for the concert stage. Her Mimi remains a vulnerable characterisation, the voice unimpaired since her last performance with Bjorling in 1956. The supporting cast sports the great Fernando Corena and Barry Morell a regular at the Met. Who deplays an attractive lyric tenor but sings. with little finesse. The sound from 1962 is excellent.
