Welcome to Jeff's music. Without going into the extreme accolades you may find on some music web sites, I'll simply say his music is emotional, dynamic and beautiful. Jeff Linscott was born and raised in Boston, Mass. He picked the guitar at age 15 and never looked back. Through the seventies Jeff and Jon Butcher, (later Grammy nominated) started their music careers together in a popular Boston band, opening for such acts as, Sly and the Family Stone, Boston, Guess Who and many others. During the eighties Jeff formed his own band, playing rock and roll in the thick of the Boston music scene. In the back of his mind though, Jeff was dreaming up music that was very different from what he played on stage. Moving to South Florida in the nineties he started recording and producing the music that was always in his head. Although commonly called 'New Age Music', Jeff's music encompasses many styles and moods from ambient to classically oriented themes. Also through out his life, Jeff has always been influenced by movie sound tracks and that can be felt thorough his music as well. Being a consummate guitarist he still plays in the local scene, and you will hear his beautiful guitar work on some of this music, which is what's truly in his heart. Hope you enjoy! Peace.
