The plug had lines on it showing a battery had been connected to it, the wires that connect to the board still had the glue like coating that Dyson puts over the board to protect the components, and the red trigger had a crack in it where they always crack after extended use. I work on vacuums for a living & know all the signs. I needed it for a customer I had already quoted for a replacement or it would have been returned. List things honestly.
