Brown paper wrapper, with convex color plate (same image as frontispiece) affixed/glued at front, poor, with tears, chipping, spotting, wrinkling/rippling, corner bends, missing paper, age-toning/browning, etc. Brown wrapper, which continues onto end pages, torn at bottom front, & end pages age-toned/browned, spotted, etc. Lovely gift card with Olive Bell illustration at front detached but not written on; it & 44 mostly text pages within age-toned/darkened (& shadowed where next to glossy plates), spotted, smudged, etc. No annotations, marginalia, underlining, scribbles, etc., seen anywhere within, nor any major damage or flaws in way of clipped or missing pages, tape repairs, water or other liquid damage, etc. No musty or smoky odor.”
