How pleasantly strange to open a 7 or 8 year old box (with the original price tag still stuck on!) and unwrapping a "new" HD. Oh yes, it works just fine. The documentation suggested I "register" the HD for warranty coverage so, more out of curiosity, I proceeded and yeah, go figure, the warranty on the drive will be good until May of 2019! I suppose should anything go wrong with the drive I'll then have to find a flux-capacitor on ebay. Won't be holding my breath on that one! Thank you!
