Was able to extract the wires from the connector and correct wiring. The remote collar wasn't damaged and works fine now. Would recommend checking polarity before plugging in.

However, even if not completely the seller's fault, the packaging, which was a simple plastic bag, allowed for USPS to crush and damage the contents during shipment, the batteries were not damaged but came out of their respective boxes inside the envelope. Other than that, good experience with the seller.
