This driver is a true ribbon with transformer to get high current for a single pass through the field and no need for film backing. The transient response is better than film backed coil ribbons. 99 dB is real I believe. Excellent efficiency. This is definitely high grade hi-fi. Aurum Cantus has brought it for a reasonable price. I believe it's a fair trade off if you extend the horn flare a little .. especially if you use the constant directivity paradigm. (flat angle match)
