Pay attention to the tensioner as it compresses. It will bottom out possibly sooner than you realize, and then you're stressing the tool and actually creating less slack as it contorts. You may need to back off a bit to get maximum slack. That cam tensioner seal is a serious pain to get in even with maximum slack!
