The 3D concave of the base allowed it to be mounted right on the forehead of the helmet with near perfect contact of the double-sided tape. All sturdy and the the swiveling mounting point is very handy. The only minor complaint I have is that the swiveling mechanism has a bit of slack which translates to a bit of movement and noise in the camera. It should be fine, though. Overall, very happy for the price of these mounts.
