The patch was placed inside a plastic 'sleeve' (possibly to avoid moisture / water damage), then placed between a folded over, very heavy-weight paper (possibly to avoid bending), with the plastic ‘sleeve’ taped with double sided tape (to eliminate the patch from sliding around inside of the envelope). I'm very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend this seller.
