Die ersten Flugapparate von Fokker waren Eindecker und wurden aus Stahlrohr, Segeltuch und Holz gebaut (außer Motor und Tank) und benötigten wegen ihrer Fragilität viele Klavierdrähten zur Stabilisierrung Das ist bei diesem Modell, das u.a. von Max Immelmann flog, exzellent gelungen. Sehr gut auch das Farbschema und die Markierungen.Trotzdem waren die Piloten stark exponiert, stürzten zu Tode, denn 1916 gabs noch keine Fallschirme.
