    Well packed and calibrated by lab without any negative results. 0.0 calibration (it means spot on). Keep in mind this is a 0.005"/ft accuracy level and I have been made aware that the smaller Starrett levels like this 6" are intentionally hollow ground bases meaning only 2 contact points on the ends. Check with Starrett on this but makes sense for short levels. The Starrett 199 15" is a 0.0005" / ft (one half thou/ft) I own one also and it is very sensitive. Even a slight breeze changes it.
