Lucky I was home and right in front of the sink when it went. The plastic ones used to be polycarbonate, but the newer plastic ones aren't. Best to avoid if you have high water pressure and go with the stainless. This unit was nice, worked out fine, no leaks on first assembly, went inline with a 1/4" brass ball valve to make filter change easy.
